Three years ago today...

I went out on my first date with this man. I wrote about it in a previous post.

He wore a white shirt with pale yellow pinstripes and his hair was tousled.

We met for a drink at a fancy bar near his work and he was waiting for me when I arrived.

I told him I was interviewing Elton John the next day and felt nervous. His kind words reassured me and managed to convince me that I'd do a great job.

It would be the first of many, many times B's soothing energy would calm me down.

We ate Thai food and I spent most of the date bursting to go to the bathroom because I didn't want to take a break from our conversation.

I had a feeling, an inkling, that this could turn into something big.

I didn't realise at the time that it would change my life.

I'm so happy, and lucky, that it did.
