Ahh Australia, I forgot how darn 'tootin chilled out you are.

n.b. I promise not to use the word 'chillax' while on this trip. Or ever.

If you read my last post, you'll know that I just left my home-away-from-home (Hong Kong) for a two-month work stint back in my home-when-I'm-really-at-home: Sydney, Australia.

I arrived early in the morning on Saturday and had no time to waste: I had a wedding to get to. The wedding of one of my closest girlfriends who is like a sister to me.

The ceremony was Greek Orthodox and the groom converted to the religion in order to wed his bride... bless.

It had all the trimmings of a Greek ceremony: the bride and groom had their hands tied together in union, they wore joined crowns and walked in a circle three times (can someone explain that?).

Then, the formalities were followed up by a fantastic, Greek-dancing-infused reception on the waterfront at dusk. We danced, sipped champas, and my hair got progressively more ratty.

Note to Nat: hairbrushes are wonderful things. No really, you should try one sometime.

I delved deep into the archives and danced latin with the bride (we met over 10 years ago when we took latin dancing classes together) and even tried a spot of Greek dancing.

And... after multiple failed attempts at years of weddings... I, finally, caught the bouquet.

Now my task is just to sit and wait, right?
