Well hello 2011.

May I start by graciously thanking you for the welcome present... a severe case of stomach flu.

On New Year's Eve, B and I headed out and did out usual thing - friends, dinner, drinks, dancing. Top start to the year. No dramas.

Until late at night on New Year's Day, when I came down with a virus that was on its way to hell, or perhaps back from hell (I'm not sure which), via me. I was so struck down it ended up in a wee hours dash to the local hospital. Gotta love those medical folk and their magic needles.

Anyway, it's one reason why I've been quiet on the blog front this week, which is likely due to stay quiet over the next few days as I move on from hell, to moving heaven and earth to meet to a writing deadline due this weekend... what was that holiday break thing again??

How were your New Year's Eves and welcomes? Better than mine?

p.s. Special public thanks to B, for his amazing care when I was pounding on death's door to come and save me. He was so wonderful and did a way better job of curing me than that grumpy death guy ever could.

p.p.s. I realise there were way to unhappy words in his post: stomach flu, virus, hell, and death. Yup. Just about sums it up.
