There's something about anime art that just makes me stop, look, look again, and then go "wow", "geez", or "who's the artist and can he/she do a painting for my sister's 30th birthday?"
I think what appeals to me most about anime is a mixture of its aesthetic beauty, its dramatic fantasy (it gently floats from dark, to light, sexy, to sweet) and the fact that it reminds me of some of my favourite childhood cartoons...
Anyone remember Astro Boy?
