Hats. Oh my!

I'm quite frankly thrilled to be working with Louis Vuitton on a project and, the other day, the name Philip Treacy came up in an interview.

Ah... Philip Treacy.

Do you know him? He's the milliner extraordinaire who designs the most ingeniously inventive hats for people like Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen and Lady Gaga (who applied for an internship with him!)

He is, quite simply, fabulous.

I'm in love with these at the moment... Which is your favourite? Or are they not really your taste?

Point & shoot: Folks' visit.

Here's a sample of our lovely week-and-a-bit:

♥ We took a cable car ride across green mountains to one of the world's largest outdoor Buddhas
♥ We stayed in and made Chinese-style crispy lemon chicken and friend rice
♥ We got fat dining on dim sum, peking duck, Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese
♥ We got jazzed up and ate at Hutong, one of Hong Kong's fanciest restaurants, with a breathtaking view of Victoria Harbour
♥ We hiked the Dragon's Back mountain ridge and had a lazy lunch in a sleepy beach village called 'Shek O'
♥ We shopped, shopped and shopped, and then shopped again, for clothes, kitchenwares, computer stuff, and more, and found some awesome deals
♥ We had drinks at some sensational cocktail bars (with sensational prices to match)
♥ We had lazy mornings sleeping in, playing with the dogs and having coffees
♥ We went to a big group dinner with friends when my dad was also in town for the one night, and gorged on pigeon, duck, mutton, chicken, beef, and seafood
♥ We spent some much-needed time together

Ted's new house.

Three years ago today...

He wore a white shirt with pale yellow pinstripes and his hair was tousled.
We met for a drink at a fancy bar near his work and he was waiting for me when I arrived.
I told him I was interviewing Elton John the next day and felt nervous. His kind words reassured me and managed to convince me that I'd do a great job.
It would be the first of many, many times B's soothing energy would calm me down.
We ate Thai food and I spent most of the date bursting to go to the bathroom because I didn't want to take a break from our conversation.
I had a feeling, an inkling, that this could turn into something big.
I didn't realise at the time that it would change my life.
I'm so happy, and lucky, that it did.

Happy anniversary baby.

I heart this Christmas display...

Busy bee.

Hello friends, how are you? Are you glad it's Friday? I am.

I'm busting out this post on a train from my iPhone because I've been both up with the birds every day this week and burning the midnight oil. Know any more cliches I can throw in there?

Despite being hit with a bad cold (once again, dear body, your timing isn't impeccable) I've been up to my eyeballs in work this week for a few exciting projects.

Do things by halves? Never me. So, with lots of work on, I'm happily sentenced to double-digit days for the next few weeks!

Christmas... Oh yehr, what's that again? I haven't even put my tree up! What about you, are you winding down or winding up at this time of year?

p.s. Blogs are my secret happy release, so if I'm not following yours, please post a link below! Or one to a special or popular post; would love to check it out.

Happy weekend,

Natalie xo
